Transportation Plan Presentation at GPAB

CATEGORY: Current Events |
On Jul 29, 2022

The July 28 GPAB meeting included a presentation from Kimbly>Horn, the team tasked with redesigning Crystal Springs/Griffith Park Drives in order to make roadways safer for all Park users. The presentation can be accessed HERE. This comprehensive presentation was embraced by the board and at the next meeting will vote whether to adopt it. We urge all Park users to check it out.

Please note: road safety improvements would be done in phases and some would require extensive construction and take longer to implement. No timeline was presented. While there are questions how/if these improvements would be affected by the Zoo expansion, those questions went unanswered.

Given the impacts that cars are having in this Parkland, many agree something must be done quickly to slow the number of speeding vehicles now inhabiting the Park, and the detrimental effects that follow, especially impacts to wildlife.
