On Saturday, December 13, 2025 the LA community celebrated the reopening of the newly-renovated Visitor Center in Griffith Park, and what an event.

Recreation and Parks, superintendent Jimmy Kim and Clare Darden cut the ribbon, reopening this center which reminded me of a moment in time when Van Griffith was joined by Clare and others, including then-council member, Tom LaBonge to dedicate the center in 2005. (pic below)

This time, LA RAP officials were joined by Councilmember Nithya Raman for the re-dedication.

A great time was had by all, and the Center’s transformation is a great asset to the area, and the Park.
