Come Celebrate Bette Davis Picnic Area

March 21 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

• Enjoy birdwatching by the L.A. River with experts
• Check out the Miyawaki ‘micro forest’
• Enjoy equestrian demonstrations
• Discover historical stories at this often-overlooked area of Griffith Park where Hollywood movie star Bette Davis once resided
• Even better… this is a FREE event, so bring the entire family

Friends of Griffith Park is organizing an event to bring attention to one of the lesser-known but incredibly charming areas of Griffith Park: the Bette Davis Picnic Area/Park.

The event will be held Saturday, March 21 and will feature birdwatching along this portion of the L.A. River, a visit to the Miyawaki micro forest, opportunities to learn about the local equestrian community, and a chance to hear about the fascinating history of this little slice of Griffith Park off the 134 Freeway near Glendale. It’ll be fun for the entire family!

Will the spirit of Bette Davis visit us that day? We sure hope so!
