This year, P-22 Day will be celebrated remotely — courtesy of the National Wildlife Federation which has been advocating for the Liberty Canyon Wildlife Crossing (and the concept of crossings designed to help save pumas and other wildlife) which upon completion would be the longest in the world!

Friends of Griffith Park is a proud partner of the P-22 Day International Urban Wildlife Festival! P-22 Day is the culmination of the week-long festival sponsored by National Wildlife Federation and #SaveLACougars showcasing the reality — humans and wildlife can peacefully coexist.

Don’t forget to mark your calendars, gather your family and friends and get ready to celebrate virtually at the FIFTH annual festival! The P-22 Day Festival is part of P-22 Day & International Urban Wildlife Week, October 17-24, a virtual, free series of events across Los Angeles and beyond including the broadcast of a 50-mile hike led by National Wildlife Federation’s California Regional Executive Director, Beth Pratt, taking a similar path to the one that P-22 took to Griffith Park. Beth has been leading this trek for five years now, designed to highlight the dangers of being a cougar in Los Angeles!
