Volunteer in Fern Dell…

…Afterwards, Take a Break at Trails Café

It’s been awhile since we’ve tackled this area in large numbers so we’re hoping folks can join.

And just think… you can do something good for the Park, and then treat yourself to coffee and a pastry across the street – a win-win!

We’ll be weeding and dropping mulch in the area just across from Trails. The weeds are a product of the past winter rains, and while we’ve tried to keep them to a minimum, it’s been a challenge! The mulch will help to keep the weed population down, and help keep moisture in these plants… especially during the hot summer we’re currently experiencing.

Look for the signs… we’ll be across the street from Trails Café. If you can find street parking, great. If not, drive up the road to #9 Lot and walk down.

Dress for success!… in other words come comfortably dressed. We’ll provide the tools but if you have a fav pair of gloves, please bring ’em. Also, wear a hat and sunscreen, even though this area is fairly shady in the morning. Bring a water bottle and we’ll provide water!

BTW… we’re required by RAP to have volunteer forms on hand for everyone working in the Park. If you haven’t filled one out, please do it today and send to FoGP Volunteer Coordinator Ross Arnold.
