Spring is the time for maintenance – so we’re heading back to the Fern Dell area, continuing to clean fallen branches and other storm debris. Once we get more rain (hopefully soon), we’ll conduct another volunteer effort – placing plants and mulch in the same area. Look for our signage – we’ll be across the street from Trails Café.
Of course we provide tools and gloves, but if you have a favorite well-worn pair, please feel free to bring them. We urge you to always wear clothes and shoes that you don’t mind getting REALLY DIRTY and don a hat and sunscreen as this IS California.
Roll up your sleeves for a few hours of fun with friends. What could be better afterward than grabbing a coffee and a tasty snake at Trails? It’s the best way to start your weekend.
BTW… we’re required by RAP to have volunteer agreement forms on hand for everyone working in the Park. If you haven’t filled one out, please do it today and send to FoGP Volunteer Coordinator Ross Arnold… ross@friendsofgriffithpark.org.
Hope to see you out in the Park!
