Sarah Wenner is a biological technician at Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area working on recovery efforts for the federally threatened California red-legged frog. She earned her B.S. in Biology at UCLA, her M.S. in Biology at Cal State Northridge, and will be pursuing her Ph.D. at UC Berkeley starting in the fall. She is an avid hiker, trail runner, and ambassador for reptiles and amphibians of all shapes and sizes.

This evening Sarah will be discussing the equally-threatened Blainville’s horned lizard – a small lizard confined by urban development to a very small region with limited connectivity. The lizard is also under threat of extinction due to a large number of variables; fire, greater urban development, low dispersal rates and habitat fragmentation.

We hope you’ll join us for this important lecture.
