This year, P-22 Day will be celebrated remotely – courtesy of the National Wildlife Federation which has been advocating for the Liberty Canyon Wildlife Crossing (and the concept of crossings designed to help save pumas and other wildlife) which upon completion would be the longest in the world!
Welcome to my official party—the 5th annual P-22 Day Festival! Last year over 8,000 people attended at my home in Griffith Park. This year, I am inviting the world to attend virtually—let’s all celebrate how you humans help protect us wildlife across the globe.
My human friends have developed something really special for this festival—P-22’s Wildlife Wonderland! It’s such a great way to explore the wild world and learn about how to coexist with mountain lions (and other wildlife) like me!
It’s also a chance for you to make a difference. This festival is from the National Wildlife Federation, and their #SaveLACougars campaign works to make sure mountain lions and other wildlife critters don’t go extinct in the Los Angeles area. NWF is working with partners to build the world’s largest wildlife crossing to help save us. Gives me all the feels.
