Raptor Study Final Presentation on Zoom

The 7th L.A. Raptor Study from Daniel S. Cooper & team is currently being compiled in anticipation of the upcoming ZOOM call that will share study results.
Over seven years of this study, 700 raptor territories have been documented and the study has greatly informed our understanding of how nesting raptors utilize the urban landscape. We’re proud to announce this 2023 dataset is again possible thanks to trained/dedicated community scientists from across the social spectrum who record the data from nests in Griffith Park and other natural areas, from trees along urban roadways, and finally, in residential yards.
- Some questions to ponder — which species had the most nests and in what tree species?
- Which species returns to the same nests year after year?
- How many successful nests were observed in 2023?
