SUMMARY:FoGP is Heading Back to Fern Canyon
DESCRIPTION:While FoGP volunteers did a great job along the pathway in early May\, we didn’t address the drainage ditches which have been overwhelmed with invasives including castor bean. So we’re heading back to do more work in this area! \nPlease dress comfortably… old clothes\, comfy shoes\, plus a hat and sunscreen. If you have gloves\, bring them\, although we do provide gloves\, tools and water (if you bring a bottle\, you can always refill). \nTo work in the Park per LA Rec and Parks (RAP)\, you will need to complete and submit a Volunteer Agreement form. Fill out the form\, scan and email back to rossarnold1213@gmail.com\, or bring the completed form to this project. \nHave you already completed a form? Great! SUMMARY:The "Jewel of Griffith Park" is Looking for Volunteers
DESCRIPTION:Fern Dell is one of the loveliest spots in the Park\, which is why FoGP conducts so many volunteer efforts in this area. \nThat said… we’re heading back in early July to continue cleaning the streambeds and adjacent trails – and just think – you can do something good for the Park\, then treat yourself to coffee and a tasty pastry across the street – a win-win! \nLook for the signs…  if you can find street parking\, great. If not\, drive up the road to #9 Lot and walk down. The event will begin near the children’s playground (slightly north of Trails Café}. \nDress for success!… in other words come comfortably dressed. We’ll provide the tools but if you have a fav pair of gloves\, please bring ’em. Also\, wear a hat and sunscreen\, even though this area is fairly shady in the morning. Bring a water bottle and we’ll provide water! \nBTW… we’re required by RAP to have volunteer forms on hand for everyone working in the Park. If you haven’t filled one out\, please do it today and send to FoGP Volunteer Coordinator Ross Arnold. \nHope to see you out in the Park!
