Due to continuing rains\, mushrooms of all shapes and sizes continue to emerge – so we hope you’ll join FoGP for another Wonderful World of Mushrooms Meander/Hike. If you’re unable to join this event\, there will be another in February. \nLimited spaces are available with priority going to FoGP members. Reserve your space now as they do go fast! \nWE WOULD APPRECIATE (due to the numbers of folks that would like to attend\, if you’re going to RSVP… do so for yourself and ONE other individual). if you want others to also join\, ask them to RSVP for themselves! DESCRIPTION:  \nFoGP is excited to announce our first Mushroom Hike of the new year! Because of recent rains\, mushrooms are beginning to pop up all over Griffith Park! \nAnd once again FoGP is enlisting the talents of mushroom expert Bat Vardeh\, Founder of Foraging and Mushroom Hunting Women of SoCal\, to lead us into the wonderful world of fungi. \nWe’ll be heading out early so you must show up by 8AM SHARP on Sun.\, Feb. 23! Otherwise\, you’ll be left behind. \nSince there are limited spaces available\, be sure to sign up now. You’ll be given directions on where to meet after signing up. If you’re unable to make this hike\, there will be another mushroom walk in Mid-March so make sure to check back on our website calendar events. \n(BTW… we NEVER forage edible mushrooms; this is a purely-educational\, casual walk.) \n

DESCRIPTION:If you attended one of our mushroom hikes\, you’re already well aware of how much fun this can be because this is the time to check out the extraordinary variety of mushrooms\, courtesy of rainstorms barreling through the SoCAL region. \nAgain we’ll be hiking with Bat Vardeh from the LA Mycological Society (LAMS) and founder of Foraging and Mushroom Hunting Women of SoCal. She’s a great leader\, taking the time to explain the importance of mushrooms in the environment\, and the symbiotic relationship they share with other plants and trees. \nPlease remember\, this hike is limited to 25\, so don’t forget to sign up in order to secure a spot  One rsvp per person!\nIf you plan on bringing a guest\, please rsvp their name as well. \nYou will receive instructions on where the hike will take place and available parking when you rsvp! \n
