River\, a visit to the Miyawaki micro forest\, opportunities to learn about the local equestrian community\, and a chance to hear about the fascinating history of this little slice of Griffith Park off the 134 Freeway near Glendale. It’ll be fun for the entire family! \nWill the spirit of Bette Davis visit us that day? We sure hope so! \n

And please note: this event is always free and open to the public. There will be multiple environmental organizations represented at this celebration and we hope everyone will attend and make sure you stop in at Friends of Griffith Park’s booth and check out what our volunteers are up to! Don’t forget to bring the kids\, and remind all your neighbors. \nOnce again\, NWF’s Urban Wildlife Week (National Wildlife Federation) will culminate with the annual P-22 Day Festival – a celebration of the famous Hollywood cougar who catalyzed the movement to construct more wildlife crossings\, not just in California\, but across the country.
